1. About this preview
Happy RSVP is an invitation design and RSVP service currently available as a private preview. This draft describes the information the application currently handles. The operating legal entity, monitored privacy contact, and final retention schedule must be confirmed before public launch.
Email delivery, SMS, and payment collection are not active in this preview. Please use sample details when exploring features and avoid adding information that is not necessary for an event.
2. Information you provide
Hosts may provide account information, invitation wording, event dates and locations, guest names and email addresses, household sizes, photographs, and other uploaded artwork. The sign-in service supplies an account identifier and email address, and may supply a display name.
Guests may provide attendance responses, headcounts, meal preferences, and an answer to a host’s question. Support requests contain the name, email address, topic, subject, and message entered in the contact form.
Please do not include passwords, payment-card details, government identifiers, medical records, or other sensitive records in invitations, guest lists, RSVP answers, or support messages. Dietary notes should contain only what the host needs to plan the event.
3. How information is used
The application uses information to save and display invitation drafts, maintain guest lists, personalize invitation pages, record and show responses, generate exports, and store support requests for review.
We also use account and technical information to restrict access, diagnose errors, and help protect the service from misuse. The current application does not add advertising or marketing analytics tools, and guest lists are not used by the application for advertising.
4. Who can see it
An authenticated host can access the guest list and responses for their own events. Other guests do not receive the host’s guest-management view. Invitation details are visible to people who can access the invitation link.
A personal RSVP link provides access to the named invitation and its response. Someone who obtains that link may be able to view or change the response. Keep personal links and guest-list exports private. Uploaded image links should also be treated as shareable links, not as a private file vault.
Private-preview site restrictions currently apply in addition to these application controls. They will need to be deliberately changed before outside guests can use the service.
5. Service providers and external links
Happy RSVP uses Cloudflare for hosting and storage. The independently hosted website uses Clerk for account sign-in; the private design preview uses OpenAI’s Sites platform and its sign-in. These providers process information needed to operate their services and may retain operational or security logs.
Integration code has been prepared for Resend email delivery and Stripe payments, but those services are not enabled in the current preview. This notice will be updated to reflect the actual data flow before they are activated.
Hosts may add external registry or video-call links. Directions links open an external mapping service. Those destinations operate independently and have their own privacy practices.
6. Keeping and removing information
Saved events, guest records, uploaded images, responses, and support requests remain stored until removed through an available control or an administrative process. No automatic expiry or general deletion schedule has been implemented in this preview.
A host can remove a guest from an event, which removes that guest record and disables its personal RSVP link. This action does not necessarily erase copies in exports, previously generated messages, service logs, or backups.
Before public launch, we will define retention periods and verify account, event, upload, delivery-record, and backup deletion processes. Do not rely on this preview for time-sensitive deletion or long-term archival storage.
7. Questions and privacy requests
Use Contact us and select Privacy request to record a question or a request to access, correct, export, or remove information. Identify the relevant event or issue without pasting an entire guest list. We may need information to verify that a request comes from the relevant host or guest.
The form stores a request and displays a reference number. The preview does not send confirmation emails or promise a response time. Applicable privacy rights and a monitored request channel must be reviewed for the markets served before public launch.
8. Children’s celebrations
Happy RSVP accounts are intended for adults. Adults may organize children’s parties using a parent or guardian’s contact information for young guests. Share only the information needed for the celebration, and obtain permission before uploading another person’s photograph.
If you believe information has been provided by a child who should not be using the service independently, record a privacy request so it can be reviewed.
9. Updates to this notice
This draft will be revised as the product and its data handling change. Material changes should be explained before the affected feature is enabled. The review date at the top of this page identifies the current draft.
